GlobalConsent was designed and developed by Dr. Kathryn Yount in the Hubert Department of Global Health, Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, in collaboration with Dr. Jessica Sales in the Department of Social, Behavioral, and Health Education Sciences in the Rollins School of Public Health, Emory University, and with Dr. Tran Hung Minh and Ms. Trang Quach from the Center for Creative Initiatives in Health and Population (CCIHP) in Hanoi, Vietnam. The study team benefitted from: consultation with Dr. Laura Salazar at the proposal-development stage; operational support from staff and students at Emory University and CCIHP (Irina Bergenfeld, Emma Jackson, Ilyssa Tamler, Patricia Lewis, Dang Hong Linh, Nguyen Phuong Thao, Le Thu Giang); and feedback and participation of students from Hanoi Medical University (HMU) and Thang Long University (TLU) in Hanoi, Vietnam. The research study in which GlobalConsent was developed and tested was undertaken at HMU and TLU.
The content of GlobalConsent is based on the content of RealConsent, which was adapted to the context of Vietnam. These adaptations are detailed in the resources, below, which were published from the research study in which GlobalConsent was developed.
